The Institute for Digital Technology and Economy, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Do Ba Lam on his appointment as Vice Director of the Institute for Digital Technology and Economy.

On 10 July 2026, Hanoi University of Science and Technology held its Mid-Year Review Conference to assess the University’s performance during the first six months of 2026 and outline key priorities for the remainder of the year. As part of the conference, appointment decisions were officially presented to newly appointed managers of the University’s affiliated units. On this occasion, Dr. Do Ba Lam was entrusted with the position of Vice Director of the Institute for Digital Technology and Economy.

Dr. Do Ba Lam is currently a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, School of Information and Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD in Computer Science from TU Wien, Austria, in 2017. His main research interests include blockchain technology, the Semantic Web, digital signatures, data integration, and knowledge graphs.

Throughout his teaching and research career, Dr. Do Ba Lam has participated in numerous research projects and digital transformation initiatives, particularly in the fields of blockchain technology, digital diplomas and certificates, digital signature systems, data integration, and the development of digital platforms for education. He has also been an active contributor to the research activities of the Institute for Digital Technology and Economy, helping to strengthen the connection between technology, economics, and practical applications.

With his strong academic background and extensive experience in research, education, and digital transformation, Dr. Do Ba Lam is expected to work closely with the Institute’s leadership, faculty members, researchers, and staff to further expand interdisciplinary research, develop practice-oriented education, and strengthen cooperation with universities, research institutes, businesses, and partners in Vietnam and abroad. Through these efforts, he will contribute to the advancement of science, technology, and innovation in line with the strategic development of Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
