The Problem
As technology develops, working from home and remote work have become increasingly common. As a result, organizations and institutions are required to send documents in PDF format more frequently. This leads to a common issue: PDF documents often lack the signature of the creator or an authorized person, reducing the authenticity of the document. Printing out documents for manual signing is time-consuming and labor-intensive.
To address this, digital signatures were introduced. However, traditional methods like USB tokens or smart cards have shown limitations in today's context: high costs, inconvenience due to the need to carry physical signing devices, and suboptimal security.
Remote Signing
Remote signing is emerging as the next generation of digital signatures. It overcomes the limitations of traditional methods by freeing users from having to carry physical signing devices. With just familiar devices like smartphones, tablets, or laptops, users can securely and conveniently sign digital documents.
BKSign - Internal Digital Signing Solution
The BKSign internal digital signing solution, developed by the BKFintech team, addresses internal document management challenges faced by institutions and organizations — such as the need to sign various documents, certificates, diplomas, and having multiple signers with high volume, all while keeping deployment costs low.
To achieve this, BKSign has implemented an internal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to issue internal digital certificates to users within the organization, instead of requiring users to purchase costly public digital certificates.
Key Features of BKSign:
- Builds a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to issue and manage internal digital certificates (X.509 standard)
- Enables remote signing directly on PDF, Word, and Excel files
- Available as mobile and web applications for easy access
- Low cost, ideal for organizations with many internal documents requiring signing and circulation
- Integrates with public remote signing systems such as VNPT and Viettel
- Supports SIM-based digital signatures (e.g., Viettel, MobiFone) and USB-based signatures via the BKSign USB Plugin
Additional Features of BKSign:
- Manage lists of digital signing accounts (both internal and public)
- Insert signature images (image or handwritten) and text into PDF files
- View the signing history of documents
- Verify internal digital signatures in documents
- Sign MS Word and MS Excel files
